Associate of Science - University Transfer Overview

CVTC’s Associate of Science – University Transfer program is the perfect step in your college education. The credits you earn through this program provide an educational foundation to start your career or easily transfer to another institution to complete a bachelor’s degree.

The courses in this program cover general education topics, including languages, humanities, sciences, mathematics, and social sciences. Working with your advisor and with your education and career goals in mind, you will develop a course plan focusing on math, science, and other STEM areas, ideal for your next step.

Use the credits in this program towards an Associate of Science degree in general studies or transfer your credits to a four-year college or university and pursue a bachelor’s degree. No matter your goals, a liberal arts education from CVTC is flexible and affordable!

Throughout your courses in this program, you will learn:

  • Effective Communication
  • Analytical/Critical Thinking
  • Global Awareness
  • Technology
  • Professionalism
  • Scientific Method

Looking to pursue a bachelor’s degree? Completing the Associate of Science program from CVTC typically completes the first two years of general education courses at four-year colleges and universities. To ensure you are on the right path to transfer, connect with your advisor at CVTC and the transfer coordinator at your university of choice frequently throughout the program.

GUIDED PATHWAYS

To make your transfer journey smoother, CVTC has partnered with UW-Eau Claire, UW-River Falls, and UW-Stout to develop guided pathways in STEM/Engineering, Business, Health, and Education. These pathways are meant to prepare you to transfer in at a junior status to complete your bachelor's degree.
