This program has an August entry date.Program DescriptionPersons interested in careers in criminal justice will receive theoretical and practical information in the program. Criminal justice is becoming increasingly complex and important. Today's employees must be trained to meet the challenges of our changing society. Criminal justice courses and related general education courses will prepare the student for a position as a law enforcement officer (state, municipal, or county), correctional officer, or for positions in retail, commercial, industrial security, and private investigation agencies. The program also offers the officer already in active service an opportunity to improve skills and earn the associate degree. Graduates of this program will be "certifiable." A graduate will become certified upon being employed by a police department in Wisconsin.
