Program Description

The ever-expanding field of child care demands higher standards and a larger, more superior trained work force to meet the needs of families. The Child Care Services program prepares students to provide quality, developmental child care. The program offers a strong framework of child development, nutrition, creative activities, and practical experience with young children in area child care facilities. Career opportunities vary from lead teachers in group centers, family child care in a home setting, child care on cruise ships, as well as the nanny both locally and from coast to coast.

Those currently working or who prefer to take the program over an extended period of time, may enroll in the program on a part-time basis. Credits will transfer to some universities. Advanced standing may also be granted for related work experience.
