Program Description


More than 200 million automobiles and trucks crowd American highways. Each year the new models become more sophisticated, emphasizing the need for trained technicians to service and repair these vehicles. This one-year program provides entry-level skills training for a career in the automotive service industry. Training will be offered in the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) areas identified as automotive industry standards:

• Vehicle maintenance and inspections
• Brakes
• Suspension/steering
• Electrical/electronic systems

Successful completion of the one year program is required for consideration of advancing into the second year of the new two year Automotive Technician program.
