2010 Talbots Women's Scholarship
Applicant must be a woman currently residing in the U.S. or Canada, have earned a high school diploma or GED on or before September 2000, be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full or part-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two or four year college, attending the full 2010-2011 academic year (receiving a degree no earlier than May 2011), and have at least two semesters (24 credit hours or more) remaining to complete an undergraduate degree as of the beginning of the 2010 fall academic term. Amount - Will award $180,000 in 2010 including up to 10 $15,000 scholarships and one $30,000 scholarship. Clear Water Kiwanis Club of Eau Claire, Inc. Single Parent Scholarship
Applicant must be a resident of Eau Claire County; a single custodial parent (male or female) pursuing a four-year Bachelors or a two-year Associate Degree; and have been accepted or are enrolled in a post high school program carrying a minimum of six (6) credits. Credits must apply toward a degree.

Department of Health and Family Services, DCFS Scholarship
Youth who have been in out-of-home care (foster home, group home, residential care center or court ordered Kinship Care) in Wisconsin for at least six (6) months after the age of fifteen (15) and are entering a degree, license or certificate program. Or have been in OHC placement in another state but has become a resident of Wisconsin. Must be accepted into an institution of higher education at the time the application is submitted. Must be age twenty (20) or less, unless enrolled in a post-secondary program on his/her 21st birthday, extending eligibility to age twenty three (23). First time applicants must provide a copy of acceptance letter from the institution of higher education; previous applicants renewing award must provide proof of successful completion of the prior semester. Applicant must be attending CVTC in the Truck Driving or Diesel/Heavy Equipment Technician program. Fabricators and Manufacturers Association (FMA) Foundation
Applicant must be a full-time student with a minimum 2.5 CGPA, a member of FMA or TPA, or a child of a member, or the employee of a member company, or the child of a member company's employee. Home Depot Trade Scholarship
The scholarship program is open to all students nationwide who are currently enrolled in a building and construction trade school program at a vocational/technical school, college or university. Qualifying schools of the scholarship recipients will receive additional funds for classroom tools from The Home Depot Foundation through matching gifts of $1,000 for each scholarship awarded to one or more of its students. Amount - The program will provide $1,000 scholarships to 500 trade school students to help them offset the cost of tuition, books and tools for their chosen trade. Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Lillian Campbell Medical Scholarship
Applicant must be a Wisconsin resident, have high school diploma/GED and may be male or female. There is no age limitation. Applicant or member of his/her immediate family, including grandparents MUST have served in the military. Applicant must be in a two or four year College and studying in a medical field at least one year prior to applying (may be completing their first year at time of application). If awarded a scholarship, applicant must show proof of at least six credits up to a full-time enrollment for the 2010-2011 school years to receive the scholarship.

McScholars Program
Current full-time and part-time employees of Courtesy Corporation/McDonald's Restaurants are offered the opportunity to save $.50 for every hour that is worked and then receive matching funds up to a maximum of $4000 from the employer for the educational expenses of tuition and/or books for any approved undergraduate course at an eligible educational institute. This scholarship is for senior nursing students. Once the nursing student has reached the "senior status" of their nursing program, they are eligible to work as a Nurse Technician. New York Life Foundation Scholarship Program for Women in the Health Professions
Must be officially accepted into an accredited health care program of study at a U.S. institution, be a woman 25 years of age or older, and be a U.S. citizen. The applicant must be seeking the education necessary for entry or advancement in a health care profession, demonstrate financial need, and be graduating within 24 months from August 31 of the application year. Northern Wisconsin State Fair/Chippewa County Fairest of the Fair
The Contest is open to individuals who have been a resident of the State of Wisconsin for at least one year; Contestant must be 18 years of age as of January 1, 2010; Contestant must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a good driving record; Contestant may not have been convicted of a felony act; A contestant must reside in Chippewa County or an adjoining county if a majority of fair and/or school activities are in Chippewa County.

River Falls Area Hospital Foundation Health Career Scholarship Program
Non-traditional students only. Applicants must have at least one year of work experience after high school; applications from high school seniors or from current full-time students who went directly from high school to a post-secondary program will not be considered. Applicants must live or work in the region served by the Foundation and be accepted or enrolled in an accredited program. (The program does not have to be located in the region.) A student may be enrolled full-time or part-time. In selecting award recipients, preference will be given to applicants who are (1) pursuing degrees that meet an identified provider shortage in the region and (2) have a demonstrated commitment to practice in the region. Other factors that will favorably influence selection include a work history in a hospital, clinic or other medical setting; demonstrated financial need; and demonstrated potential for academic success. Amount - Scholarships of $500 per academic session (up to $1000 per academic year) are available to a limited number of non-traditional students pursuing careers in health care. The number of scholarships awarded will be determined by the board based on the number of applicants and available funds. Sallie Mae 911 Education Fund
This fund was created in response to the terriorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The scholarship program is open to children of those who were killed or permanently disabled as a result of the terrorist attacks and who are enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at an approved, accredited institution. Applicants must be dependent children, spouses, or domestic partners of September 11 victims and attending an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school.
