Copiers & Other Equipment
Copy Machine
There is a self-service copy machine available.
Charges are $.10 per page. All photocopying must comply with the copyright laws (Title 17, U.S. Code) . Change for paper money is available at the Circulation Desk.
Adaptive Technology Workstation
The workstation is complete with an enlarged screen, a scanner to transfer text into a more readable format, a height-adjusted table, and software that assists the library user by providing auditory feedback and visual cues, when necessary. Library staff will provide guidance to those users requiring assistance.
Other Equipment
- Television monitors and DVD/VHS playback units are located in the AV carrels at the back of the library.
- Computer workstations with links to electronic databases, reference material, the CVTC Online Catalog, and Internet access are available. For Community Users, please see "Who May Use the Library."
- Head sets are also provided for in-library use.
E-Stream Video
Many of the videos that were viewed over the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system can now be viewed on the E-Stream system. This technology is only accessible from college campus computer stations. To access this technology, follow the directions below:
- Check on the desktop for a short-cut to the E-Stream web page.
- Once on the E-Stream page, click on "Search for CCTV Video assets Here."
- The Virage search box will come up. Within the box, delete the asterisk and type in the call letters and numbers of the video you wish to view. Example: med-100 [use the proper prefix (not case sensitive), hyphen, and numbers]. Click search.
- Click on the "play E-Stream" icon located to the left of the title of the video.
