Instructions for Student Access

For CVTC Students
The CVTC Library subscribes to online databases that by contract are restricted for use by students, faculty, and staff of CVTC. A special proxy server used for password synchronization now allows off-campus access to these subscription databases for students, faculty, and staff. By logging in through VISTA from off-campus, these resources will provide access to all electronic databases such as: CINAHL, EBSCOhost, and Oxford Reference Online.

To use the proxy server, follow these instructions:

Click on VISTA or enter http://vista.cvtc.edu in the address line
Enter your User Name and Password and click login
Select the "Student Life" tab
Under "Information" select "Resources" then select "CVTC Library".
The following message will appear:

CVTC Web Proxy

Welcome to the CVTC Web Proxy center. In order to verify your identity, please
login using the same username and password that you use to login to VISTA.

Please enter your username _________________
Please enter your password _________________

Select the library resources you wish to use.
