Purpose of the Nursing Programs

The purpose of the Nursing Programs is to serve health care agencies and the community by producing health care team members who contribute to the provision of holistic health care for individuals, families, and groups. Graduates of the Associate Degree and Practical Nursing Programs are prepared to take the licensure examination for employment in nursing. Students who complete the nursing assistant course are prepared to take the competency test for certification as a nursing assistant.
