Student Government
What is Student Government all about?
The Student Government Association (SGA) is the voice of CVTC students. SGA functions include representing students on college committees, subsidizing the cost of field trips and professional conferences/competitions to recognized student clubs, and providing social, educational, cultural and leadership activities and programs.
The SGA is comprised of an executive board, campus representatives and club representatives. All students are welcome to attend meetings. Contact Student Life for more information.

Only the first two meetings of the semester have been established. The remaining meetings will be set following elections.

Information Sessions
Learn about SGA, open Execuative Board positions, and the election process by attending ONE of the following information sessions.
- Tues, Sept. 7, from 11:00 - 12:00 pm
- Wed, Sept. 8, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm
- Thurs, Sept. 9, from 12:00 - 1:00 pm
All sessions will take place in the NEW Learning Center Conference Room. BEC120.
Positions available are:

- Director of IT
- Governor

Election Process
Application
Interested students must meet with the SGA Advisor (ahoepner1@cvtc.edu) and complete the Executive Board Application.
Applications are due by 4:00 pm on Wed, Sept. 15, to the Student Life Office, BEC115.
Nomination
Wed, Sept. 15, at 1:00 pm, in BEC 100A
Students can be nominated or self nominate at this meeting.
Elections
Wed, Sept. 29, at 1:00 pm, in BEC 100A
Nominees will present a speech to the voting members and answer questions as part of the election process.
