Hybrid Options
Is it Right for Me?

Hybrid courses work well for motivated learners who find challenging to attend frequent traditional classes. These courses provide students with the best features of traditional classroom instruction and online learning. The classroom portion of instruction often entails practice, application, or reinforcement of content learned online. Instructors provide the student with a detailed course schedule outlining both classroom and online learning activities/assignments.
How it Works
Hybrid Courses are a combination of face-to-face classroom instruction and online learning. The division of online and classroom instruction for each hybrid course will vary depending on the course content and the instructor preference, but typically one half of course is online and one half is in a classroom or lab. Active and independent learning is promoted.
Blackboard
All Hybrid courses use Blackboard, CVTC's course management system. Using Blackboard, you will be able to access course materials, submit assignments, participate in discussion forums, and take tests and quizzes.
