State of WI Educational Benefit Programs

There are two State programs administered through the Veterans Services Office:

  • Veterans Education Reimbursement Grant (VetEd) (Pre-application is required)
  • Wisconsin State GI Bill (Free Tuition)

The *WDVA Form 2029 (found in the packet) must be filled out, signed, have the appropriate documentation attached and given to the Veterans Service Office at the school.

  • If the approval is not received when your tuition is due you will be responsible to pay the fees and once approval arrives from the WDVA the school will reimburse you.
  • The Form 2029 must be received in the Veterans Office at CVTC within 14 days of the start of the semester.
  • Even if you were approved at a previous school, you must still reapply to both the WDVA and CVTC.
