Purchasing Textbooks

You can order your text books by using one of the following methods. For the tracking and security of your order, we recommend and prefer that you order your textbooks on-line.

• Order Online from the eFollette Website
  When using efollett.com, you will need to pay for the books by credit card, Automatic Payment Plan, or an outside source such as VA, DVR, or Workforce Resource. Follett accepts all major credit cards.
• Automatic Payment Plan
  You must sign up for the Automatic Payment Plan prior to placing your order on-line (this must be done each semester). If you are receiving Financial Aid, Grants, or Scholarships you still must apply for the Automatic Payment Plan program. Please have your Payment Plan confirmation number when placing your order. It will not be processed with out this.
• Call the Bookstore
  When placing your order by phone you will need your class schedule. You may pay for your purchase via check or credit card. If you wish to pay for your books via check, make it payable to the CVTC Bookstore. Send the payment to:

  Once we receive the check or money order, we will then ship your books. 
• Buy OnSite
  You may also shop for your textbooks onsite; we are located in the basement next to the cafeteria of the Business Education Center on the Eau Claire Clairemont Campus. 

Returning Textbooks

The Bookstore buys back used texts at the end of each term as long as they are in good condition. If texts are torn, heavily
highlighted, stained, dirty, or otherwise damaged, the Bookstore will not buy them back.

The amount of money received for used books is dependent on several factors:

• the physical condition of the book
• if it is being used again by the instructors 

If a text is being discontinued at CVTC, the Bookstore tries to find a wholesale book company that will buy that text. The amount the student receives in this case is much less than half the value of the text. The wholesaler must pay shipping and other business costs associated with re-selling that text and, therefore, offers less for that text. If no buyer can be found for your text, the Bookstore offers a donation box. Follett donates books to Bridge to Asia.
