Career Services for Students

Career Services available to Chippewa Valley Technical College students and graduates include:

• Electronic postings of all current openings listed with Career Services are located on TechConnect.
• Current job vacancy notices can be mailed to those students/graduates without internet access.  For those with internet access, an ID and password is needed to log into Wisconsin TechConnect from off campus.  Please contact Career Services, (715) 833-6505 for assistance.
• Part-time employment opportunities are posted in a display case located across the hall from the Information & Service Center and on TechConnect.
• Work study positions within CVTC are posted through Financial Aid.
• Salary and placement information of CVTC graduates are posted on the CVTC web site. To locate this information, click on "Programs & Courses" through the CVTC homepage, then "Sorted Alphabetically", and then choose "Graduate Information" located at the top of the page for each program.
• Wisconsin Current Opportunities Bulletins are posted for viewing in Career Services, Room ECB113 or go to http://WISCJOBS.state.wi.us

Resume Assistance

CVTC Learning Center staff are available to assist with resumes, cover letters, etc. Stop at the Academic Services Center in Eau Claire (Clairemont Avenue - Room ECB212) or at the CVTC Learning Center on your campus.

Career Counseling

If you need individual career counseling, CVTC counselors are available to help you. Make an appointment in Counseling Services (Room ECB113) or call (715) 833-6346.

Other Career Resources/Services

Remember. . . Finding a job requires full-time effort! In addition to registering with CVTC Career Services, make use of all resources available. These may include instructors, counselors, friends, relatives, newspapers, the internet, and public or private employment agencies. Also check with your local library for regional job listings, professional and trade journals, and out-of-town newspapers.
