Dave is putting the finishing touches on a pick-up that he and his partner painted complete.

The Auto Collision Repair & Refinish Technician Program at CVTC is a one year technical diploma program. The program is certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. The goal is to prepare students for an entry level position in the auto body field. The students will be taught all aspects of the auto body profession.  Auto Body is a hands-on competency based program. Students work on customer vehicles either obtained by the students or instructors.

The students begin the Auto Collision Repair & Refinish Technician Program by completing numerous repairs on a fender provided by the instructors. Fiberglass repair, metal repair and plastic fillers are just a few of the repairs done by the students.  The students will prime and paint their fenders using single stage and base clear finishes.  The students will complete their fenders by wet sanding buffing and detailing them.

Tony is taping his first paint project and preparing the project for sealer and top coat.
