Jim
Bevins
I served in the
United States Coast Guard from 1972-1977 as a Machinist Mate were I worked
shipboard on steam turbine and refrigeration systems. I graduated from Chippewa
Valley Technical College in 1978 with a Refrigeration Servicing Technician
Diploma. I completed a Fire Fighter certification at CVTC that same year. I
then worked on refrigeration and dairy systems in the Marshfield area for seven
years.
I completed the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology
Associate Degree Program at CVTC in 1986. I continued working in the HVACR
industry in the Eau Claire area and served five years as a reservist with the
Wisconsin Army National Guard. I started teaching as an adjunct Fire Service
Instructor for CVTC in 1990. I began teaching full time in the Heating,
Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, and Refrigeration Program area in 1993. I’m
licensed by the state of Wisconsin as an HVAC System Designer. I also have
received certifications from ARI/ICE, and NATE. I currently serve as the HVACR
Program Chairperson at CVTC.

Steve Gutsch
I have been an adjunct
instructor in the HVACR program
since the fall of 2000. I am also an instructor for the ABC Sheet Metal and HVAC
Servicing apprenticeship program. My work experience includes over 21 years in the
heating, air conditioning and refrigeration field. I have an associate degree
in Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Technology and served an
apprenticeship in the sheet metal trade. I also currently own a heating and air
conditioning firm in Eau Claire.

James Parker
I have been an instructor in
the HVACR programs since the fall of 2001. My work experience
includes over 18 years in heating, ventilating, air conditioning and
refrigeration field including positions in designing, project management,
installation, servicing and management. In 1995, I acquired a Designer of
Engineering System stamp from the state of Wisconsin. I have an associate
degree in Air Conditioning Technology from Chippewa Valley Technical College.
Currently, I am acquiring a bachelors degree in Career Technical Education and
Training (CTET) from UW-Stout in Menomonie. I enjoy playing basketball,
fishing, hunting, camping, farming and spending time with my family in rural
Mondovi.

Tim
Mentink
I completed the
HVACR associate degree program at Chippewa
Valley Technical College in 1972. I then worked for two years for a
refrigeration contractor. After receiving a bachelors of science degree in
vocational education from University of Wisconsin-Stout ,I taught HVACR classes for a
high school in Michigan
from 1975-1978. For the next fours years I taught at Western Wisconsin
Technical College in La Crosse, Wisconsin, in the HVACR Associate Degree Program. I joined the
CVTC staff in
1982 as an instructor for the HVACR program areas. I’m licensed by the state of Wisconsin as an HVAC
System Designer and also have MS and EDS degrees.
