HAAS AUTOMATION INC. AND PRODUCTIVITY INC.

Partner Logo
In 2001 Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC), Productivity Inc., and Haas Automation Inc. formed a partnership that created the largest Haas Tech Center in the nation. Chippewa Valley Technical College trains quality machinists and tool & die makers; Productivity Inc. is a regional machine tool distributor. Haas Automation Inc. is the largest U.S. machine tool manufacturer. This partnership allows CVTC to use state-of-the-art machine tools to train students, offer industrial related seminars, and continuing education opportunities.

The Haas Technical Center is located in CVTC’s new Manufacturing and Technology Center at the Gateway Campus. CVTC built the Manufacturing and Technology Center in 1999, moving the machine tool program and other related manufacturing programs to the new facility. We now have over 12,000 square feet of machine shop space.

The Tech Center houses 16 state-of-the-art computer numerical controlled machine tools that include two Haas Horizontal Milling machines, four Haas Mini Mills, four Haas VFE Vertical Milling machines, one Haas VF-1 with high-speed capability, three SL-20 Turning Centers (that include live tooling and bar feed capability), one Fanuc OiB Wire EDM, and one Makino Edge 2 Sinker EDM. Come have a look at our machines in the Shop Tour.
