         Social Studies

Welcome!!  Pre-College Social Studies

Introduction

You are about to take a short 12-hour course in pre-college social studies. This course is designed to help you prepare to take courses at the college level.

Topics of Discussion

We will be looking at the following ideas, themes and elements as we proceed:

    1: Court Cases
    2: Contributions of Minorities
    3: Famous Wisconsinites
    4: Folklore
    5: Other Social Studies Aspects
6: Study and Test Taking Skills

We will be studying many other social and historical aspects of real life. You will be completing assignments, activities, and sample tests. You will test your writing skills with a short paper. Social studies content comprises the history and fabric of life as we know it. Social studies courses illuminate the who, what, where, when, why and how of past and present life. Keep that in mind as you proceed!  Work your way through the lessons.  Do your best! The dividends will last a lifetime!

The material in this course is compiled from online and other sources and is the work of many people. Every effort has been made to give due credit to sources and compilers.
