The need for Surgical Technologists is great at this time! Employment opportunities for you include working in operating rooms, delivery suites of obstetrical units, and in surgical areas of a veterinary practice. You might also be employed as a private technologist for a surgeon, work in the central processing units in a hospital, and assist in the emergency rooms.

With further education, you may be employed as an educator, physicians assistant, or surgical first assist.

Job Outlook-Grow much faster than average through 2010.

Median earnings in 2000 were $29,020.
