CVTC Student Impact Club is a Christ-focused, Bible centered CVTC club open to all students and staff interested in exploring faith issues.  We serve students at all points of their faith experience:  students with questions about God and religion, as well as students who have made a faith commitment and are seeking to learn and live for Christ and make an impact on their campus.  We encourage students through one-on-one mentoring, small groups, campus events, outreach and community activities.

"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord.
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone
who asks you to give the reason for the hope you have.
But do this with gentleness and respect,
keeping a clear conscience." ~ I Peter 3:15-16

WHY is there a CHRISTIAN CLUB at CVTC?  Good question, often asked.  CVTC has an increasingly diverse student body and respects students of all backgrounds and faith beliefs.  Inclusiveness is demonstrated through welcoming clubs representing the full range of students’ beliefs, allocating student activity funds on a viewpoint neutral basis, and demonstrating equity in treatment of all student clubs.

Student Impact BIBLE STUDY groups meet weekly at BEC campus during fall and spring semesters to talk about current issues of faith and life on campus.  We learn together in these small groups, building community among students of faith on campus.  Typically there are 2 or 3 daytime Bible studies weekly during the school year.  Handouts and resources are available upon request for interested students who are unable to attend, or who attend other CVTC campuses.  See “Contact Us” information below; please email for the dates/times of current groups and events.

Student Impact sponsored Campus EVENTS are offered at BEC campus several times during the school year, with experienced speakers from CVTC and the community. Topics are of broad interest to the student body, related to curriculum, and include general and faith-based perspectives.  Recent events focused on substance abuse and resources to get help, illusions and critical thinking, identity development and addictions, and relationships and finding true love.  Events are webcast and links available for future viewing.

Student Impact OUTREACH opportunities, on campuses and in our communities, provide experiences for sharing our faith through conversations and literature.  Recent outreaches have included offering  Mid-Term and Finals packs on CVTC campuses, and joining UWEC Student Impact in prayer and sharing in the Eau Claire community.  We are also invited to join regional and national Student Impact outreach teams, including teams in Florida during Spring Break, and short-term missions teams nationally and internationally.

Student Impact COMMUNICATION:  we are an open group welcoming to all, regardless of faith background.  Information about our groups and events is provided through our Information Table in BEC front lobby, through weekly emails to students and staff requesting to be included on our Student Impact Club email list, and through posters at the BEC campus.   Student Impact Club is also active in the CVTC Student Government Association, where we share and invite input regarding our activities.

Student Impact STATEMENT of FAITH: Student Impact faculty and student leaders affirm that relationship with Christ and living for Christ is central to our lives, and we affirm the Bible as God’s word for our lives.

 “Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths.  Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my savior and my hope is in you all day long.”  - Psalm 25:4,5

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."  - Romans 12:2a

"Trust the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths."   - Proverbs 3:5-6

Student Impact LEADERSHIP:  Student Impact faculty and student leaders are committed to living our statement of faith, while welcoming students of all backgrounds to participate in club activities.  Student leaders are provided mentoring with faculty and staff, and training through the regional Student Impact fall retreat, Christmas break conference (TCX), and spring retreat.  We are linked through an email group, CVTC Christian Network, and through this group we are also linked with UWEC Christian Network.  Faculty/staff are available for one-on-one mentoring with Student Impact students.  Staff and students on other CVTC campuses who desire to begin Student Impact groups on their campuses are supported with outreach and resources.

Student Impact AFFILIATIONS:  We are affiliated with the international Student Impact/Campus Crusade for Christ,  www.everystudent.com, with students on hundreds of campuses across the globe impacting their campuses for Christ.   All Student Impact affiliates function independently in our leadership, activities, and finances.

We are interdenominational, helping students connect with faith communities in the Chippewa Valley including UWEC Student Impact http://www.uwec.edu/SI conferences and events, and the Bridge Church http://www.thebridgechurchec.org in CVTC BEC Auditorium on Sunday mornings.
