Why should I join the association of Paralegal Students? The paralegal association at CVTC helps build leadership skills and networking opportunities with other students and legal professionals throughout the community and state. You can discover career opportunities and participate in community-enrichment activities and programs, Finally, new friendships and resume-enhancing experiences are key features you will enjoy by joining this sociable and professional association. How much are the dues? Dues are $5 per semester or $7 per year. How often does the association meet? The association meets approximately once a month, subject to the activities that are going on, such as annual trip planning, nominations and elections, community outreach or on-site programs, visits to local areas of legal interest, and other exciting and interesting activities! What activities does the association engage in? Besides student leadership activities, members of the association engage in fund-raising for the annual field trip. The trip is intended to encourage access to legal specialties that are not available in the curriculum or in the Chippewa Valley area. Members of the association have traveled to: -Chicago, Illinois At these locations, students have been hosted by such diverse groups such as Quaker Oats, the Chicago Bears Football Team, the IDS Financial Network, 3M, and Harley Davidson. These trips offer a unique opportunity to explore careers, to network with legal professionals, and build lasting friendships! |
