This program has August and January entry dates.Program DescriptionThis program allows students the opportunities to develop the competencies needed for employment as registered nurses (RN) in a variety of health care settings. Nursing students will be provided with instruction and practice in: • collecting, verifying, and communicating information about a client/patient. • analyzing information to establish priorities and develop and evaluate a plan of care. • initiating nursing actions to assist clients in achieving health goals. • carrying out delegated medical acts such as treatments and administration of drugs. • collaborating with clients and other health care team members in meeting client health needs. All students who successfully complete the first year of the Associate Degree Nursing Program will have met the academic requirements to take the practical nursing (LPN) licensure examination.
