This course offers algebra content with applications. Topics include properties of real numbers, order of operations, algebraic solution for linear equations and inequalities, operations with polynomial and rational expressions, operations with rational exponents and radicals, algebra of inverse, logarithmic and exponential functions. Prerequisite: high school algebra or 854-771, or an equivalent as determined by the Math Department Chair. Prerequisite(s): (COMPASS-Algebra 35 or ACT Mathematics preentry assmt 18 ) or 804-110 Elem Algebra w Apps or (Bachelor's Arts Y or Bachelor's Science Y or Assoc Degree preentry assmt Y ).
