Who should attend:                       
This 4-hour course is designed for the person who has experience in the operation of a semi-automatic handgun and minimally understands the fundamentals of handgun operation to include firearms safety, loading and unloading of the firearm and malfunctions. 
Course details: 
This dynamic, hands-on firearms course will include a review of the safe and effective operation of a handgun fundamentals of firearms
safety, reloads and malfunction drills, tactical application of firearms, use of cover, movement and position shooting. The course includes live fire in the firearms range with certified firearms instructors from WI Department of Justice.
Student must supply own handgun, the magazine for the weapon, an extra magazine and 150 rounds of ammunition. Please include make and model of weapon when registering.

How to Register

Important Information:

A Wisconsin Conceal Carry (CCW) permit OR a current residency background check and criminal history dated in the last 60 days must accompany your registration. The WI DOJ background check form can be found at: Form DJ-LE-250. Please allow 7-10 days for receipt of back­ground. A copy of your CCW or background check must accompany your registration (fax, email, mail, or walk-in) and be approved before you may register for the course. If you are not a current WI resident, please include a background check from both WI and your current state of residence.
*The following items on a background check will automatically disqualify you from registration: felonies, bonds or restraining orders related to domestic violence, child abuse, harassment, or court-documented mental illness.
Ammunition Notice: Only fully jacketed ball ammunition will be allowed in the firing range. No armor piercing, exploding, tracer, or hollow point ammunition is allowed.
