CVTC Automotive Students Can Repair Your Vehicle!

Please review the following before submitting your request:

Description

Vehicles will only be accepted for repairs that are 15 model years old or newer. For the 2011-12 school year, the vehicle has to be 1996 or newer.

We reserve the right to refuse any vehicle for repair upon the instructor's discretion.

We will only work on original equipment that is factory installed.

No repair estimates will be given before the vehicle has been inspected and diagnosed by students.

When repairs are required, it must fit the instructional intent of the courses being taught at that time. Once you submit the form, you will be put on a waiting list and contacted when it is time to schedule your appointment. Appointments are on a first-come, first-serve basis and vehicles will not be accepted or honored without the completion of this form.

You will be required to leave your vehicle with us until students have completed needed competencies. Students work on the vehicles 2 to 4 hours per day so expect your repair to take 3 to 4 times longer than at a repair shop.

Because you are volunteering your vehicle for repair, there is no charge for labor. However, you are charged for parts and materials used to complete the repair, plus a service charge equal to 10 percent of parts sales ($100.00 max).

All new parts that are installed on vehicles must be purchased through the CVTC auto parts store. You may not bring in your own new parts. In certain situations, used parts may be able to be used on your vehicle with instructor approval. You may be required to purchase and deliver those parts to CVTC.

We will not install your stereo, remote starter, security system, keyless entry, or performance equipment.

There is NO warranty; expressed or implied on repairs or parts.

Your vehicle MUST be parked in the auto repair parking area on the day of your appointment with the required parking pass, which you will be given when you drop your keys off. It is your responsibility to put this pass in your vehicle.

Your keys need to be dropped off to the parts room, Business Education Center (BEC) 172. At that time we require you to sign a repair order and a waiver of liability, otherwise no work will be done on your vehicle. You will also be required to sign for a repair cost limit of at least $50.00.
