Candidate Physical Ability Test

The Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) is required part of the application process in the Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) Fire Department Hiring Process.

The CPAT exam is offered in Eau Claire through CVTC and we will not accept CPAT taken at any other location.

Registration

You will be mailed a registration form later in the process.

April 25 or 26, 2014 time is to be determined

Practice Sessions

CVTC will be offering three practice sessions for applicants to run through the CPAT course.

The Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) is a sequence of eight events requiring you to progress along a predetermined path from event to event in a continuous manner. This test was developed to allow fire departments to find pools of trainable candidates who are physically able to perform essential job tasks at fire scenes.
