Accept/Decline Your Student Loans on the Student Information System (SIS) (required once a year)
Follow the steps below:
Log into My CVTC and click SIS. Under the Financial Aid tab select My Award Information, Award for Aid Year, the current award year and click Submit. Click the Accept Award Offer tab and accept or decline your loan(s).
Complete Undergraduate Loan Entrance Counseling (*required once for Direct Loans awarded at CVTC)
Follow the steps below:
Sign in with your Department of Education (FAFSA) four-digit PIN. Click on Complete Entrance Counseling, read through the informational page and click on Complete Entrance Counseling again. You MUST select loan entrance counseling for an “undergraduate” student or your loan will not be processed. Complete the counseling session and submit.
Complete a Master Promissory Note (*required once every 10 years)
Follow the steps below:
Sign in with your Department of Education (FAFSA) four-digit PIN. Click on Complete Master Promissory Note, Subsidized/Unsubsidized, fill out the required information and submit.
*to determine if you need to complete the loan entrance counseling and/or master promissory note, go to www.studentloans.gov and sign in with your Department of Education (FAFSA) four-digit PIN. To confirm loan entrance counseling, click on View Previously Completed Counseling located in the left column. The school section must list CVTC. To confirm your master promissory note, click on Completed MPNs under My Loan Documents also located in the left column.
