​These search resources below that are marked with an asterisk (*) require you to be on campus or have a CVTC username and password. If you have a CVTC username and password follow the instructions below:

  • Log into My CVTC.

  • Click the Tools icon in the upper right corner.

Badgerlink
​Contains magazines, journals, newspapers and information. Provides links to reference sites, governmental links to Wisconsin state and some federal and foreign agencies, education and library sites.​
WisCat
​This is a statewide bibliographic database for Wisconsin.  It contains bibliographic records with local holdings statements for libraries of all types throughout Wisconsin.
WorldCat
​Search for books, media, and other resources at libraries throughout Wisconsin, the United States and more.​
ERIC (Education Resources Information Center)
​This is database of journal and non-journal education literature. ERIC online provides a centralized web site for searching the ERIC bibliographic databases, consisting of over one million citations.  Full text for thousands of non-journal documents is now available for free; previously, available through fee-based only.​

WestlawNext (Paralegal Students only)
​Is an online legal research database with an extensive collection of legal resources. WestlawNext is available exclusively for the CVTC paralegal students. A password is required in order to access this database.

EBSCOHost*
EBSCOhost is an online reference system accessible via the Internet which is provided by CVTC and Badgerlink.  The comprehensive database ranges from general reference to business to medical and other subject specific databases, providing access to thousands of titles with many available in full-text.  Multiple databases can be searched separately or in any combination. 
ProQuest*
​ProQuest is a vendor that provides access to online information from thousands of current periodicals.  The Library has chosen the ProQuest databases to correspond with the student curriculum at CVTC.  The databases include both subject specific and some that cover a broad range of subjects.  Multiple databases can be searched separately or in any combination.​
Credo Reference*
​(Formerly​ xreferplus) online reference library provides access to hundreds of reference books from the world's leading reference publishers. Dictionaries, encyclopedias, thesauri and many other subject-specific works are available in this database. Credo Reference provides links to related entries​.
Global Road Warrior*
​Is a rich compendium of country and cultural information with A to Z Maps Online.​
Oxford Reference Online*
​Is an authoritative database that offers a unique collection of recognized dictionaries and reference works. A broad range of subject areas are included with access to over 1.5 million terms, facts, figures, and more.​

​Formerly Thomas Register of American Manufacturers, is the most comprehensive online resource for finding companies and products manufactured in the United States and Canada. Searching can be done by product/service, company name or brand.

Findlaw Constitutional Law Center
​Is an online library of legal resources whose mission is to make legal information on the Internet easy to find and freely available. The database is broken down into six main channels: legal news, legal professionals, students, the public, business and corporate counsel.
Wisconsin State Law Library
​Is available to serve the legal information needs of judges, attorneys, and the general public. Information is available for Wisconsin law, federal law, state law, Tribal law, legal forms and law reviews to name a few.
Wisconsin State Legislature
​Provides current Wisconsin legislative information.​
State Bar of Wisconsin
​Provides current legal information about the State Bar as well as information on finding a lawyer, legal publications, legal forms, consumer resources and a link for law students, to name a few.
