WTCS District Responsibilities
In addition to providing instructional services, the WTCS District shall:
a. Maintain records and report to the Public School District concerning attendance on a timely and continuing basis, as specified the written agreement to be attached to this contract.
b. Maintain records and provide reports to the Public School District concerning grades and performance of students according to the regular standards and procedures of the Public School District.
c. Provide necessary class materials and supplies. Textbooks and other materials that are to be the property of the students must be furnished or paid for by the student or the Public School District.
d. Provide general counseling services and cooperate with and report to counselors of the Public School District where necessary.
e. Cooperate with the Public School District in identifying and resolving problems of students relating to educational progress or behavior in this program.
f. Notify the Public School District of any injury to a Public School District student while receiving instruction, or damage to any property under the control of the WTCS District caused by a Public School District student while attending the WTCS District school, of which the WTCS District has knowledge, as soon as practicable following discovery of such injury or damage to any property under the control of the WTCS District caused by a Public school District student while attending the WTCS District school, of which the WTCS District has knowledge, as soon as practicable following discovery of such injury or damage.
g. Provide student emergency health services as afforded to regularly attending students.
h. Determine cost per class hour of instruction per student per an agreement between the state superintendent and the WTCS director.
School District Responsibilities
In addition to payment of charges as enumerated in the Rate and Billing table, the Public School District shall:
a. Grant approval to students to participate in the program.
b. Seek approval of the state superintendent for courses to accommodate students under s.PI18.04, Wis. Admin. Code.
c. Determine the amount of highest credit to be granted to students for work completed in this program.
d. Provide transportation for students to and from the facilities of the WTCS District or provide board or
lodging, as may be required for the students’ participation in this program.
e. Cooperate with the WTCS District in identifying and resolving problems of students relating to educational progress or behavior in this program.
f. Be responsible for monitoring the attendance of student(s) and for the enforcement of attendance pursuant to Section ss.118.15 and 118.16 Wis. Stats.
g. If the pupil does not comply with the agreement, determine whether the agreement should be modified or suspended. If the agreement is suspended, pupil must return to regular school attendance or be handled as a habitual truant.
Conduct of Public School Students: Public School students shall be subject to the code of conduct promulgated by the WTCS District while on WTCS District property receiving instruction under this agreement. In the event the Public School student acts in a manner so as to disrupt the normal and ordinary operation of the WTCS District should, the WTCS District may refuse to provide further services to the Public school student.
Discrimination Prohibited. No person may be denied participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be discriminated against in any curricular, extracurricular, pupil services, recreational, or other program or activity under this contract, on the basis of the person's sex, race, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation, or physical, emotional, or learning disability.
