The Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) 2013-14 admissions guide, titled “Your Guide to CVTC” has won the 2013 Gold Paragon Award from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR).The award was presented in New Orleans, La., March 21 at the NCMPR national conference.
Last November, the CVTC admissions guide was awarded the 2013 Gold Medallion Award at the NCMPR regional conference in Columbus, Ohio. The honor made the project eligible for the national Paragon award in the Academic Catalog category in competition with six other regional winners.
The admissions guide offers a comprehensive overview of CVTC programs, career clusters, admissions guidelines, financial aid, tuition rates and career opportunities for potential students. It is also a valuable resource for parents of high school students, high school guidance counselors and community agencies.
“All of this information is presented in a manner that can be easily understood by prospective students,” said Pam Haller, director of marketing & communications. “The look and feel of this piece encompasses CVTC’s overall branding and image while adding visual flare to make this piece stand out at career fairs and events.”
The admissions guide was redesigned to be more user-friendly and graphically attractive to a potential student.
NCMPR is an affiliate council of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). NCMPR's prestigious Paragon Awards recognize outstanding achievement in communications at community and technical colleges. It's the only national competition of its kind that honors excellence exclusively among marketing and PR professionals at two-year colleges.
