CVTC is proud to announce that Carol Robarge has been named the Wisconsin Marketing Education Association’s Outstanding Post-Secondary Marketing Educator for 2011.
Carol has 20 years of teaching experience, 10 of those years at CVTC in the Marketing Management program. During her time at CVTC, she has served as a collegiate DECA advisor and is also the lead instructor for Bridgeport Gifts and Apparel, a student based enterprise at CVTC. Carol has also served as a mentor for many new marketing educators in the secondary and post-secondary levels. She has served on many committees, including the UW-Stout Marketing and Business Education Advisory Committee, along with the Eau Claire School District School-to-Work Advisory Committee.
“I am honored to have received this award,” commented Carol. “I’m truly blessed to have the opportunity to work in such a rewarding profession. What I most enjoy is knowing that we impact students’ lives every day. I feel very lucky to have worked with so many truly amazing students in marketing education and DECA over the last 20 years. I have fun staying in touch with many former students and seeing where their careers have taken them. I love to hear their success stories.”
Carol began her career at Sears as a sales manager and regional buyer. She started her education career at Altoona High School as a marketing educator, where she was also the DECA advisor. During this time she was also an adjunct instructor at UW-Stout. Carol joined CVTC in August 2001.
