Conference Held At CVTC To Show Off Criminal Justice Program

‚ÄčThe event kicked off with a career fair, and was followed by Luke Wren, owner of Highland Fitness and motivational speaker, talking about health and wellness in law enforcement.

The second day of the conference consisted of demonstrations and displays, including a SWAT/room clearing and the Eau Claire County bearcat SWAT vehicle. One of the highlights of the day was the presentation of a check for $4,900 by Criminal Justice Club to the Eau Claire County Sheriff's Department. The donation will be used in the county's K-9 program. Luke Wren also graciously agreed to return to the conference to be tasered by a student. That was a huge hit!

Congratulations go to Mark Andren. Mark won first place and a $100 scholarship for scoring the highest on the police entrance exam.

"This was our chance to show off the Criminal Justice program at CVTC," stated Steve Chronis, program instructor. "Our students did a great job organizing much of the event, and it really went off without a hitch!"
