Following a weekend shut-down, all systems were back online at CVTC Monday morning, after completion of the move of the College’s data center to a new home on the CVTC campus.
Manager of Network Services Craig Everson announced successful completion of the move just before midnight Monday, noting that systems had been tested and appeared to be running.
“This project has been consuming for the network and systems infrastructure team and we appreciate the support we have been given by the entire college,” Everson said. “In particular I would like to recognize the efforts of Nate Runge, Vaughn Vue, Julie McFadden and Nick Gifford for their efforts this weekend to ensure the successful move of the data center. I would also like to thank Don Morrow, from the facilities team, who was instrumental in the construction of the new CVTC Regional Data Center.”
Everson invited anyone with issues regarding their computer, lab computers, software applications, or telephone services to open a help desk ticket so any issues could be resolved as promptly as possible.
