Fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, salsa, jams, jellies, honey, and chilled beverages are some of the items available at the farmers’ market held at CVTC.
Vendors set up in the student parking lot on the south side of Clairemont Avenue on Tuesdays. The hours of operation are 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The open-air market gives staffers, students, and locals a chance to purchase fresh food and flowers and support and meet the individuals who produce them.
On a recent Tuesday shoppers were given an extra bonus. The first 35 people at the market were given a reusable bag. The bags were donated by MET Credit Union, Tangled Up in Hue, and Whippersnappers. In the bags were a pizza cutter and pen, courtesy of MET Credit Union.
CVTC staffer Candy Johnson recently visited the farmers’ market. “It’s great having the farmers’ market so handy, and I appreciate the wide variety of fresh produce and flowers the vendors have available. I’ll be back!”
The farmers’ market will be available at CVTC through the summer.
