People of all skill levels who want to learn to handle their firearms better have a chance to do so at one of the area’s top indoor firing ranges.
Chippewa Valley Technical College is offering firearms training courses for the community. Participants have the choice of three levels - basic, intermediate, or advanced training, and all include live fire in CVTC’s indoor firing range located at the Emergency Service Education Center on the west side of Eau Claire. Either a Concealed Carry permit or a valid background check is required prior to registration.
Courses are taught by certified instructors employed by CVTC and certified through the Department of Justice. Start dates for each level of class are available throughout April and May. All course information, including scheduling, can be found online here or at www.cvtc.edu/seminars. Courses are also available just for women and are taught by female instructors.
“Whether you are just learning how to handle firearms, or have been using them for many years, you can get a lot out of additional training. This is a tremendous opportunity for firearms users of all levels to spend some time with certified experts at a top-notch range. It’s an experience that can be both educational and enjoyable,” said Judi Anibas, one of the instructors for the classes. All instructors are CVTC employees and certified through the Department of Justice.
