People of all ages interested in furthering their education will have an opportunity to explore the advantages of programs focused on career opportunities at Chippewa Valley Technical College’s Spring Open House April 2.
The free event will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the CVTC Business Education Center (BEC), 620 W. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire, with tours also available at the Health Education Center across Clairemont Avenue. Preregistration is not required.
The Spring Open House is designed for anyone thinking about attending CVTC, or wants to learn more about the College’s programs and facilities. High school students are welcome, as well as nontraditional students, current university students, even those who may already hold postsecondary degrees. Family members of prospective students are welcome to come, and so are community members who just want to explore.
Participants will be able to tour program areas and talk with instructors. Staff will be available to talk about career opportunities, financial aid, admission procedures, entry testing and CVTC facilities. Information on transferring from CVTC to a four-year university will also be available.
There is plenty to see at the BEC and HEC facilities. In addition to the program areas, participants can see the recently upgraded student commons and learning center, and also see Shear Inspiration-Salon & Spa, Bridgeport Gifts & Apparel, and the CVTC Bookstore.
“CVTC has so much to offer people of all ages interested in pursuing higher education and finding a good-paying job and successful career. I really encourage people to stop by and get to know us, see what we have to offer, and why we say that CVTC is the right choice,” said CVTC President Bruce Barker.
