Pam Haller has been named the new Manager of College Marketing at Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC).
Haller is best known in the Chippewa Valley for her work with the Eau Claire Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (now known as Visit Eau Claire) for 18 years, starting as a public relations manager and later becoming director of sales and marketing.
Originally from the Twin Cities area, Haller began her postsecondary education at a school similar to CVTC, earning an associate degree in Marketing at Anoka-Ramsey Community College in Minnesota. She later completed Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management through Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee.
For the past year, Haller has been working part time in marketing for CVTC and for the Eau Claire Area Economic Development Corporation while pursuing her MBA through Cardinal Stritch.
Haller says she is thrilled to join CVTC on a full-time basis.
“When people come here, they don’t just get a degree, they get an education and training that leads them to a career. On a daily basis you come into contact with individuals who have earned a degree here. At the end of each day, when you walk out the door, you know what you did today at work impacted someone’s life in a positive way,” Haller says. “CVTC’s marketing role is to remind people of the integral role the College plays in the community. The whole concept of CVTC as ‘the right choice’ really resonates with me.”
Haller’s role as marketing manager will be to implement CVTC’s overall marketing plan across all campuses, utilizing traditional media, online content, social media, public relations and events.
