Association of Paralegal Students

Students in a library.The Association of Paralegal Students is an active organization of future paralegals dedicated to promoting the paralegal profession and paralegal education. Members of the organization traditionally participate in college activities.


LEX

Lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX) is a national academic honor society for paralegal students.  The purpose of this honor society is to recognize those paralegal students who have demonstrated superior academic performance.  The benefits of belonging to LEX include the recognition of the student’s superior academic achievement, as well as participation in regional conferences, networking opportunities with other legal professionals, and members of the society are eligible for national scholarship opportunities.  LEX is sponsored by the American Association for Paralegal Education (AAfPE). 

Candidates for membership in Lambda Epsilon Chi must have completed two-thirds of their required paralegal legal specialty (24 hours) and general education (19 hours) courses at CVTC.  Candidates must have maintained a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.80 (including both legal specialty and general education courses), and the candidate must have exhibited leadership qualities, good character, and a genuine commitment to the law.
 

Applications for admission into Lambda Epsilon Chi are accepted Spring Semester and must be submitted to the Paralegal Program Director by March 1 of each year.  If you are interested in submitting an application, please click on the link below.
