The Information Technology-Network Specialist program prepares individuals to install, configure, and administer a wide variety of networking equipment and network services that are common in today's ever expanding LAN and WAN environments.

IT-NS StudentThe IT-Network Specialist program provides training on the following computer and networking technologies:

  • Installing and managing the major network operating systems: Microsoft Windows, Novell Netware, and Unix/Linux
  • Installing and troubleshooting client computer hardware and software
  • Implementing network security
  • Managing user accounts
  • Monitoring network event logs for problem resolution
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network hardware such as routers, switches, workstations, peripherals, and network infrastructure
