1. Scavenger Hunt - Brenda Thalacker's scavenger hunt assignment leads students through an exploration of the different areas of the course. Since the scavenger hunt is a Blackboard test, it is easy for students to complete and is automatically graded.  

2. Getting Started - Julia Raehpour provides a section in her course entirely devoted to student orientation or “getting started”. In this example, she welcomes the students and guides them through their responsibilities in the course.
