Gary Brummeyer of Menomonie was elected chair of the Chippewa Valley Technical College board recently.

Brummeyer’s one-year term as chair of the board begins July 1, 2009.

Gary Mitchell of Withee was elected vice chair.  Mona Mathews of Eau Claire was elected secretary, and Larry Hagness of Durand was elected treasurer.

The nine-member board is appointed to three-year terms by a committee comprised of the chairpersons of the 11 counties served by the technical college. The board will meet the second and third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Eau Claire Clairemont campus of CVTC.
