Susan Frame, a Landscape, Plant and Turf Management instructor, was named the recipient of the Domer Distinguished New Faculty award recently at Chippewa Valley Technical College.

Faculty with three or fewer years of experience at CVTC are eligible.

“Susan built a new program from the ground up. She wrote an entire program curriculum, and earned grants to implement that curriculum. Most importantly, Susan Frame distinguished herself as an outstanding classroom teacher creating authentic learning experiences for her students,” said Roger Stanford, one of the CVTC judges that selected Frame from nominated applicants.

The honor is made possible by support from the Arnie and Lois Domer Family and Foundation, and is accompanied by an award of $1,500, to be used at the discretion of the recipient.

“Susan’s engaging teaching includes an active role for students in horticultural experiments.   Last summer she began a video series on local television called the ‘Garden Guide.’ She leverages her teaching with wonderful community outreach,” said Bruce Barker, CVTC president.
