Industrial Mechanic - 40 weeks to success!

This program starts every 8 weeks which means soon you can be in a great program and within a year ready for the job market!

Program Description

Students learn to install, maintain, operate, diagnose, and repair automated equipment used in a variety of manufacturing industries.  Examples include material handling, metal forming, assembly, welding, plastic molding, machine tool, and robotics.  This career is well suited for individuals who have an interest in working with machinery, enjoy troubleshooting mechanical systems, and take pride in craftsmanship.

As a multi-skilled industrial maintenance technician, you will become proficient in the following areas:

•    Laser alignment
•    Thermal and vibration analysis
•    Pneumatics and hydraulics
•    Conveyance systems
•    Machine tool
•    Electrical principles
•    Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems
•    Welding
•    Mechanical equipment installation, disassembly and assembly
•    Preventative maintenance
•    Automated machine troubleshooting
•    Programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
