Health Services

Going to school can be stressful enough, especially if you get sick. CVTC is able to provide basic health care services through our partnerships with UW Health Eau Claire Family Medicine and the River Falls Medical Clinic. Health Services is available to CVTC students who are registered for six or more credits for the fall and spring semester or three or more credits for the summer session.

UW HealthHere is a brief listing of services offered:

  • Diagnosis and treatment of medical problems
  • Women's and men's general health care
  • General physical exams
  • Required health physicals for admissions into certain CVTC programs

Students will be assessed the Health Service Fee at the time of registration. Health Services is not an insurance program. Learn more about Health Services on the website or in My CVTC.

Accident/Sickness Insurance Plan

Are you covered? Chippewa Valley Technical College is not in the business of writing or selling insurance. We are, however, concerned that students have an opportunity to purchase a low-cost health and accident program which will assure them the freedom from worry of financing large unexpected medical bills.

To assist those students who do not have adequate coverage the college has made arrangements for an accident and sickness insurance group policy for students, who are enrolled in 6 or more credits per semester, and their dependents. The coverage is designed to provide benefits for medical expenses arising from an accident or sickness including those which occur off campus and during interim vacations. Participating in the plan is voluntary; however, we encourage you to review your personal situation to determine if you need coverage.

Learn more about this policy and enroll.
