Transportation and Housing

Knowing how you will get to school and where you will live are questions that come up frequently. This section will focus on transportation and housing resources available through CVTC.

Parking

Student parking is available at all CVTC campuses. A parking permit is needed and can be purchased from the Safety and Security Office at the Business Education Center. If you are taking classes at more than one campus, only one permit is needed. Permits are not needed after 5pm.

The student parking lot at the Business Education and Health Education Centers is located on the south side of Clairemont Avenue, next to the Health Education Center. A walk bridge is available to access the Business Education Center. There are no designated student parking lots at the other CVTC campuses.

Ride Share

The CVTC Ride Share Program is available for students and staff to establish carpooling. Ride Share is easy to access because it’s located online! Just add your request to the “Bulletin Board” located in My CVTC.  For best results post your information and respond to others who have posted.  CVTC does not guarantee transportation through the Ride Share program.

Eau Claire Transit

Taking the bus to school is a great way to save the environment (and your money). Eau Claire Transit bus passes are available for CVTC students enrolled in credit courses at a 50% discount (Student Activity Fees pay for the other 50%). The bus provides service to the Business Education and Health Education Centers. Bus passes can be purchased at the Cashier’s Window in the Business Education Center. Passes are good for one semester.
