Steps to Success

In order to support your academic success, we've created the Steps to Success initiative which is designed to meet and support your needs at the College. The program is comprised of four areas to enhance your overall student experience:

• Inventory of Student Success (ISS) - This tool measures your attitudes about education and other obstacles that might get in the way of your success.
• Prepared Learner Classes - Prepared Learner classes are designed to build your skills so that you can succeed in a variety of college-level academics including reading, writing, math, and science.
• Early Alert Referral Process - An Early Alert Referral connects you with a CVTC Program Counselor if it's been identified that you have issues with attendance, academic performance, or behavior. Our goal is to assist you and help you get back on the path to academic success.
• First Semester Experience - This is a new and ongoing program created to introduce you to all that CVTC has to offer. This online orientation is the first step to making your success a reality.
