CVTC Paralegal Program Vision Statement

The Chippewa Valley Technical College Paralegal Program will be a dynamic partner with the legal and social community, dedicated to training, nurturing, and developing valuable professionals through learning and student success. [2006]

Class Requirements (Real-World Approach)

One of the primary functions of the Paralegal Program is to simulate as closely as possible the time constraints and pressures employees will undergo working in a legal career. Deadlines and scheduling of the completion of work projects are critical. Not only may an attorney and a paralegal be subject to a malpractice lawsuit for failure to complete and submit work product on due dates set by the court and state/federal statutes, but the clients can be severely penalized by having a case dismissed, a motion denied, or a judgment awarded against them.
