Adult Basic Education
CVTC offers Adult Basic Education services to help you:
- improve your academic skills (math, reading, writing).
- enhance computer literacy (keyboarding, word processing, internet).
- assist with job preparation and advancement (interviewing, resume and cover letter, job search).
- prepare to take placement exams (TABE, Accuplacer, or the COMPASSTM).
ESL/ELL
CVTC offers free English language classes for adults over 18 who are legalized aliens, refugees, immigrants, or U.S. citizens.

The General Educational Development Certificate (GED) offers people who did not finish high school the opportunity to earn high school credentials. Over 90 percent of U.S. employers and colleges accept the GED in place of a traditional diploma. Learn More...
