users to access a large portion of the U.S., federal, state, local and international governmental sites by providing subject and agency access to over 5,000 specific government Internet resources. Government resources are the major source of authoritative and reliable U.S. and intergovernmental information.

Information Please Almanac allows searching of the following categories of information: Almanacs are used to obtain authoritative answers to a variety of factual questions, provide statistical information and facts and figures. Atlas features maps and detailed profiles of 192 countries and each state in the United States. Encyclopedia provides access to articles from the Columbia Encyclopedia. Dictionary provides access to over 125,000 entries including a pronunciation guide. Thesaurus gives access to over 150,000 synonyms. White Pages finds information on people, phone numbers, addresses, and zip codes.

Oxford Reference Online is an authoritative database that offers a unique collection of recognized dictionaries and reference works. A broad range of subject areas are included with access to over 1.5 million terms, facts, figures and more.

ThomasNet formerly Thomas Register of American Manufacturers, is the most comprehensive online resource for finding companies and products manufactured in the United States and Canada. Searching can be done by product/service, company name or brand.

Credo Reference (formerly xreferplus) online reference library provides access to over 150 reference books from the world's leading reference publishers. Dictionaries, encyclopedias, thesauri and many other subject-specific works are available in this database. Credo Reference provides links to related entries.

Legal Information:

Findlaw Constitutional Law Center is an online library of legal resources whose mission is to make legal information on the Internet easy to find and freely available. The database is broken down into six main channels: legal news, legal professionals, students, the public, business and corporate counsel.

Wisconsin State Law Library is available to serve the legal information needs of judges, attorneys, and the general public. Information is available for Wisconsin law, federal law, state law, Tribal law, legal forms and law reviews to name a few.

Wisconsin State Legislature provides current Wisconsin legislative information.

Westlaw is an online legal research database with an extensive collection of legal resources, news, business and public records information. Westlaw is available exclusively for the CVTC paralegal students. A password is required in order to access this database.

State Bar of Wisconsin provides current legal information about the State Bar as well as information on finding a lawyer, legal publications, legal forms, consumer resources and a link for law students, to name a few.
