Work Study
THE FEDERAL WORK STUDY PROGRAM provides jobs to students with financial need allowing them to apply for a work study job and earn money to help pay for educational expenses. On campus positions are available as well as community service positions. Students are eligible to earn up to the amount listed on their award letter and are paid on a bi-weekly basis based on the number of hours worked at $8.50 per hour. This money is earned and paid to the student, not applied to your student account.
When you filled out your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if you answered you were interested in work-study or you checked the box stating you were interested in work-study on your Supplemental Data Form, the Financial Aid Office determined your eligibility to participate in this program. If "Workstudy (Federal)" is listed on your Financial Aid Award Letter, you are eligible to apply for a work-study position. If "Workstudy (Federal)" is not listed on your Financial Aid Award Letter, you are not eligible to apply for a work study position.
If you are not sure if you requested work-study or have questions on your eligibility, you may contact the Financial Aid Office at (715) 833-6252 or 1-800-547-2882 Ext. 6252 or via email at FA@cvtc.edu.
