Advisory Committee

 The CVTC Foundation Advisory Committee is comprised of faculty, staff, and retirees, all of whom have an interest in promoting the Foundation in achieving its mission and goals.  The Committee works in an advisory capacity in efforts related to student scholarships, technology acquisition, and staff development.

Each year, the Foundation Advisory Committee leads an all staff campaign with a specific goal.  Recent and current campaigns:

2008-09:  This year's goal is to raise enough funds to provide a $500 scholarship to a graduate from each of the 39 high schools in our district.  The investment by faculty and staff represents an investment in the College and in students we serve.

2007-08:  $25,000 goal to establish an endowed fund for scholarships for high school students.  Currently, the vast majority of CVTC scholarships are awarded to students who have been enrolled at least one semester in college. 

2006-07:  $20,000 raised to endow a Student Emergency Fund, providing an important ‘safety net’ for students.  Students now have the opportunity to apply for cash grants when unforeseen financial challenges threaten their ability to stay enrolled.

2005-06:  $25,000 raised to support CVTC Staff Development and establish the endowed ‘Culture of Excellence’ Award, now awarded to three staff members each spring.  Staff contributions ‘doubled the money’ given by Casper Foundation of Chippewa Falls as a matching grant; hence the ‘Doublemint’ campaign pictured above.

Board, and to promote and assist the Foundation in achieving its mission and goals. The Committee acts in an advisory capacity in areas of student scholarship, staff and technology/facility development."
